unveiling a series of technical and software advancements that expand digital
spot delivery capacity through its HD
Xtreme initiative. HD Xtreme equips advertisers and broadcasters
with complete and robust solutions for the distribution and management of
high-definition (HD) advertisements.
Elements of the HD Xtreme
initiative are being showcased at the annual National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) convention (

standard definition (SD) broadcasting ends next February with the launch of the
HD digital era,” stated Scott K. Ginsburg, DG FastChannel Chairman and
CEO. “DG FastChannel is committed
to addressing the needs of the HD advertising community, and has put
substantial resources behind efforts to make this a seamless transition. Our investments in HD Xtreme will
create the most advanced HD distribution platform in the industry offering
broadcasters, advertising agencies and brands unparalleled capacity, options
and flexibility.”
Mr. Ginsburg added, “The features and functionality of HD Xtreme significantly
increase
digital spot delivery capacity and allow seamless delivery of spots in
multiple HD standards. Our Spot Box – HD Xtreme deployment will ensure that every station that wants to air HD spots will be ready to receive them
electronically by February 2009.
Broadcasters will benefit from the industry’s most comprehensive network
and by receiving all new hardware and software from DG FastChannel.

Universal Deployment of DG FastChannel’s new Spot Box – HD Xtreme is the cornerstone of the HD Xtreme initiative.

commercials. The server will have the
ability to receive both SD and HD commercials with built-in SD and optional HD
playout capability.

Increased satellite throughput via migration from Sat I to
Sat II satellite technology.

The significantly expanded capacity of Spot Box – HD Xtreme accommodates increased usage of the HD format
by advertisers.

Offers increased capabilities to manage distribution on
multiple satellite transponders.

Provides increased media receipt capabilities.

Universal deployment of the Spot Box – HD Xtreme to
be completed in late 2008 with installations commencing during the second
quarter. Each broadcast location in the DG
FastChannel footprint will be provided a new HD Xtreme server.

Xtreme seamlessly integrates with DG FastChannel’s
proprietary order entry and management system, SpotCentral® which accommodates each customer’s work style. Within this user-friendly system, SpotCentral
has the unmatched power to distribute and track media assets.
DG FastChannel’s Drop Box Xtreme™ allows advertisers,
agencies and post-production facilities to electronically transfer HD spots via
the Internet to the Company’s data centers.
